XceedID™ Corporation Announces Secure RFID Solution Using Contactless Chip Technology from Infineon Technologies

Golden, Colorado – April 4, 2005 – Today XceedID Corporation, a leading contactless RFID development company, announced a technology license agreement with Infineon Technologies, a world leading semiconductor manufacturer and supplier of contactless smart chip technology. One year ago, in March 2004, XceedID and Infineon executed a license that enabled XceedID to incorporate Infineon secure my-d® technology into its ISOX 13.56 MHz contactless product family. XceedID is the first U.S. based company to offer Infineon secure my-d reader technology.

XceedID recently introduced the security industry’s first, award winning, multi-technology (125 kHz proximity and 13.56 MHz contactless), secure reader family. XceedID’s ISO-X™ products provide customers with seamless transition from old proximity technology to the latest contactless technology on their own timeline and budgets. XceedID products will be competitively priced and will be sold to OEM security companies worldwide.

"There is an obvious shift in the market from 125 kHz to 13.56 MHz. XceedID products clearly provide a path of migration for existing 125 kHz proximity users to state of the art, secure, 13.56 MHz contactless technologies. Companies that move to contactless technology will be able to take advantage of the advanced security features and multi-application capabilities that secure contactless technologies provide”, stated John Menzel, President and CEO of XceedID.

Mr. Menzel added, “Secure multi-application contactless technology such as Infineon my-d enables users to carry applications including traditional access control, biometrics, payment and more all on the same secure card. XceedID is staking a claim to become the leader in transitioning the security marketplace from 125 kHz proximity to secure 13.56 MHz contactless products."

A complete line of XceedID ISOX Multi-technology reader products, utilizing secure Infineon my-d technology, is now available.
